Tyler Johnson

  • Title
    Volunteer Assistant Coach

Tyler Johnson enters his second season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Dolphins in 2022. Prior to Jacksonville, Johnson played baseball at John Wood Community College and the Missouri University of Science and Technology as an outfielder and relief pitcher. During his time with the Miners, Johnson was a part of the program's 2016 GLVC West Division Championship squad to advanced to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Championship game and posted the best single season record in program history at 39-19.

No stranger to softball as well, Johnson has spent plenty of time with Team USA on the global stage. As a member of the 2012 Team USA Men’s Junior National Team, Johnson helped the team finish 5th in the World Tournament. Currently, he is on the 22-man roster for Team USA Men’s Fastpitch. Johnson hopes both his collegiate baseball experience and fastpitch experience will help the Dolphins make another run in the ASUN this year.
