Andrew Diaz de Padilla joined the Jacksonville University Volleyball coaching staff in July 2024, bringing with him a strong coaching background and an impressive playing career. Before joining JU, Andrew served as an Assistant Coach at Everest Volleyball Club in Twinsburg, OH, where he successfully led national-level boy's teams (14's, 16's, and 18's) to the USAV Nationals in Kansas City in 2021.
In 2021, Andrew also expanded his coaching repertoire by joining Cal Poly University's Women's Volleyball program as an intern, contributing to their summer training sessions while working with the 805 Elite Volleyball Club. He has gained valuable experience working summer camps at several top programs, including Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Wittenberg University, and Ohio State.
As a player, Andrew earned four varsity letters as a setter at Hiram College, leading his team to the 2021 AMCC regular season and postseason championships, and earning 2022 AMCC All-Conference Third Team honors. He furthered his academic and athletic career at Wittenberg University, where he obtained an M.A. in Sport Administration and led his team to two MCVL regular season titles, including an undefeated conference season.
Andrew's diverse coaching experience and outstanding playing career position him as a key addition to the Dolphins' staff, where he looks forward to making a significant impact on the student-athletes at JU.
