Jacksonville University

Courtney Nicholson was named Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Jacksonville University in July 2014. Nicholson was a full time intern at JU working with football and all Olympic sports before being named to this position. She is currently responsible for program design and implementation for women’s basketball, volleyball, softball, women’s rowing, and beach volleyball programs. 

Prior to coming to JU, Nicholson was a four-year letter winner in softball at Eastern Michigan University (2009-2013). She earned honorable mention Academic All Mid-American Conference in 2013 and was also a NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete. Nicholson received her bachelor’s degree in 2013 from Eastern Michigan with a major in exercise science.

Nicholson is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through USA Track and Field, and a USAW Level 1 Sports Performance Coach. 

Nicholson graduated from JU's Kinesiological Sciences Masters Program in the spring of 2018.

A native of Canton, Ohio she currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida.
