A year ago, in his first season at the helm of the Dolphins, head coach Ian Shields guided the team to an overall record of 5-5 with a 4-3 mark in PFL play. This season, Jacksonville has eclipsed its previous record at 7-3 and 5-2, respectively.
The Dolphins were expected to tie for fifth in conference standings, but are currently in position to battle Drake over second place.
Series History
The Bulldogs lead the all-time series, 13-3, which includes a 7-0 edge in Des Moines. In last year's meeting, the Dolphins scored a pair of rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but gave up scores with 4:39 and 16 seconds remaining to drop the decision, 31-27.

Twelve Jacksonville seniors celebrated their final game at D.B. Milne Field with a 13-10 victory over Stetson. Senior defensive back Griffin Garland helped secure the win, tackling a Hatter receiver at the one-yard line as time expired.
