Joshua Moreira Joins Men's Soccer

JACKSONVILLE, FL - Jacksonville Men's soccer has made yet another valuable addition to their roster this week. Head Coach Mauricio B. Ruiz was proud to announce the addition of Josh Moreira to the program. 

Josh Moreira- Midfielder- Toronto, Canada
Moreira, who operates as a midfielder will be coming to Jacksonville from Toronto, Canada. He was born in Mississauga and raised in Milton, Ontario . He has previously played with Toronto FC. Moreira was a member of the squad who made an appearance in the 2018 Dallas Cup. In 2018 he appeared in 11 matches while recording 817 minutes of playing time and one goal. On November 9, 2019 he suited up for team Ontario to play in the CPL's U-21 Showcase Match as a part of the
U Sports Men's National Soccer Championship. In addition he played in one official tournament with the Canadian National Team in 2015 in Mexico City. Moreira will be starting at JU in the upcoming spring semester.

"Josh is a very mature central midfield player that plays with great poise and elegance.He has experience representing his country at the U17 level and trains regularly with MLS and USL players. His professionalism, personality and abilities will be a great fit in our culture and style of play", commented Ruiz.
