Men's Soccer Adds Offensive and Defensive Talent On National Signing Day

JACKSONVILLE, FL - Jacksonville Men's soccer made two valuable additions to their roster for the upcoming 2020 season this week as a part of National Signing Day. Head Head Coach Mauricio B. Ruiz was proud to announce the addition of Mohamed Soumah and Francisco Capellan to the team on Thursday evening.


Mouhamed Soumah- Forward- New Paltz, N.Y.
Mouhamed Soumah will be joining Jacksonville in the fall on the offensive line. Soumah carries experience playing overseas in Congo, Ivory Coast, Sengal, and Mali. Currently the New Paltz, New York native plays for New Paltz High School on the varsity team. Soumah celebrated much success with the Huguenots including a 2018 MHAL Championship appearance. He is also a member of Quickstrike FC.  Quickstrike went 9-0-7 this season while Soumah operated at center mid.

Francisco Capellan- Defender- Bradenton, Fla.
Capellan, a native of the Dominican Republic will be operating on the back half of the pitch for Jacksonville in the fall. . He has spent the past two seasons with the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Capellan started in three matches in the 2019-20 season with the U-18/19 team.
