DeLand, Fla. – The Jacksonville University volleyball program fell in four sets Friday evening to Stetson in ASUN play.
Set One
To begin the contest, Stetson jumped out to an early five-point lead, 11-6. Jacksonville used a 4-2 swing to trim the deficit to three, 13-10. However, the Hatters were able to claim four of the final six points in the frame to take the opening set, 25-17.
Set Two
The two programs traded points early, however the Dolphins held a one-point lead over Stetson, 7-6. The Hatters were able to completely swing the momentum to their side of the net, as Stetson closed the set on a 19-5 run to win the second frame, 25-12.
Set Three
Opening the third contest, back-and-forth play was the theme, as the score was knotted at 11. Jacksonville utilized a 6-2 burst to swing the momentum in its favor, as the Dolphins led 17-13. Four consecutive points from the Dolphins stretched their lead to five, 24-19, late in the frame. Jacksonville was able to clinch the third set, 25-21, forcing a fourth set in the contest.
Set Four
After falling behind 10-5, Jacksonville went on a 8-3 run to tie the set at 13-all. With the score tied at 15, Stetson scored eight-straight points to take control of the set, 23-15. The Hatters claimed the contest's final two points to seal the four-set victory over the Dolphins.

Jenna McNamara's 14 kills.
Rebecca Rocassin and
Camryn Honn dished out double-digit assists with 15 and 11, respectively. McNamara also recorded 14 digs, posting her second career double-double.
The Dolphins return to action tomorrow evening from Fort Myers, as Jacksonville battles with Florida Gulf Coast.
