JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville University men's soccer team (2-4-1, 2-2-0 ASUN) came up short on Saturday night at North Florida (3-2-2, 1-1-2), 3-0, as we head down the stretch of the regular season.
The Dolphins collected six shots in the game and held UNF to just eight and four on goal. But the Ospreys cashed in when they got their chances. UNF scored its first goal in the 37th minute and later added a pair less just about four minutes apart in the 68th and 72nd minutes to put this one away.
Four of Jacksonville's six shots were on target, keeping UNF's keeper busy but were unable to sneak by.
Olivier Correa,
Reed Davis,
Jake Johnson and
Jose Manzo all picked up shots on goal while
Matt Levy made one side on the backside.
Next up for Jacksonville will close out the regular season with a pair of tilts at home, first opposite FGCU on Mar. 27 then opposite North Florida on Apr. 4. Both matchups will get started at 6 p.m.
