Jacksonville, Fla. – Hayley Dekker's 16
th minute goal was the deciding factor in Sunday's contest, as the Jacksonville University women's soccer program (4-3-2, 1-3-0 ASUN) fell to Kennesaw State (4-6-2, 2-1-1 ASUN) in conference play at Southern Oak Stadium.
In the 12
th minute, the Dolphins nearly got on the board to start the game, when
Hannah Bielicke's shot in the bottom right corner was stopped.
Following Dekker's score for Kennesaw State,
Selma Fohrer had two opportunities to find the back of the net in the 27
th and 42
nd minutes, however both shots would sail just high of the crossbar.
Coming out of the half trailing by one, Jacksonville had two chances in the second half with shots on goal.

rd minute was stopped by the Owls' keeper Allanah Blye.
With less than five minutes remaining,
Anaya Black nearly scored the equalized for JU, as her shot in the bottom corner was stopped.
In the end, the Owls would prevail, defeating Jacksonville 1-0.
Mariah Winebrenner earned the start in goal for the Dolphins in the second consecutive contest, stopping one shot in the first half.
Murphy Sheaff would come in relief for the final 45 minutes, halting four KSU attempts.
The Green and White return to the pitch this Thursday evening, traveling to new ASUN opponent, Austin Peay.
