Dolphins Dropped by Central Arkansas at Home

JACKSONVILLE, FLA.- The Jacksonville volleyball program fell in four sets Saturday evening to Central Arkansas in ASUN play. 

SET ONE 

Haley hart's kill ties the set 3-3. Back-and-forth affair inside Swisher Gymnasium, UCA extends their lead by two. The Dolphins regained the lead with two consecutive blocks from Hart, 12-10. A kill from Myah Robinson forced the Sugar Bears to call a timeout 13-10. Jacksonville remained in the lead 18-14 forcing UCA to call their second timeout of the set. After the timeout the Dolphins went on to a 7-1 scoring run. Jenna Mcnamara's kill closed out set one 25-19.  

SET TWO 

The Sugar Bears started set two with a 3-0 scoring run. UCA kept the momentum 7-1, forcing the Dolphins to take a timeout. The Sugar Bears held on to an eight-point lead 13-5. UCA kept the rhythm going finishing off set two 25-16.  

SET THREE 

The two programs traded points early, however the Dolphins held a two-point lead over UCA, 6-4. The Sugar Bears worked hard to tie the set 9-9. A block from Lyric Love and Jenna McNamara put Jacksonville up by one. The Sugar Bears were able to completely swing the momentum to their side of the net, as UCA closed the set on a 6-1 run to wind the third set 25-20.  

SET FOUR 

After falling behind 10-6, Jacksonville couldn't get control of the set. The Sugar Bears energy was electric throughout the entire set. UCA went on another 3-0 run mid game 14-8. UCA continued with the spark and took control of the set, 23-16. The Sugar Bears claimed the contest final two points to seal the four-set victory over the Dolphins.  

Jacksonville was led on attack by Jenna McNamara's 14 kills. Rebecca Rocassin dished out 39 assists. Haley Hart had seven blocks and Myah Robinson and Lyric Love both with five blocks. Kariana Ayala-Drew with 24 digs.  

The Dolphins are back on the road next Friday at Liberty at 6pm.
