Round Two Play Halted at Sea Best Intercollegiate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The first day of the Sea Best Intercollegiate was suspended due to darkness on Monday, with Jacksonville University women's golf sitting in 10th.
 
Casey Powell led the way for JU, sitting just outside the top 10.
 
Casey Powell battled through her first round before playing some of the best golf on the course in the second. After nine pars and a birdie on her first 18, she rattled off eight pars and a pair of birdies in 13 holes, climbing 10 spots on the leaderboard.
 
Macarena Aguilera sank three first round birdies, and 12 pars through a steady day on a tough course. Her best stretch was 13 straight holes of par or better golf as she shot up the leaderboard. Her second round has been tougher, as she has managed just six pars and two birdies.
 
Laura Pasolodos and Frantiska Lunackova made 10 pars in the first round, and Pasolodos sank a pair of birdies and six pars in round two to, while Lunackova added seven more round two pars.
 
Mawgan Vater made 15 total pars, Harley Hiltibrand made 14 and a birdie and Jenna Fonda made 13 for the day.
 
Round two resumes at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, and round three will start up immediately after.
