Luke Baker came in to relieve Adams and pitched into the ninth, giving up two runs, walking two and striking out two through two innings. Vogel entered the game in the ninth inning and earned his third save.

The Dolphins were not quite done though as in the bottom of seventh inning, Blake DeLamiellure walked to lead off the inning and stole second. A one-out single from Berg drove home DeLamiellure making it 6-3.
In the top of ninth, the Trojans started to come alive against Baker, getting the first two runners on base, which prompted Coach Hayes to turn to his closer. After Vogel entered, two runs would cross for the Trojans (credited to Baker). With the tying run on third base with one out, Vogel would come up with a big strikeout against the Trojan leadoff hitter, then get the ground ball to end the game, a 6-3 put out.
