JACKSONVILLE, FLA. - #20 Jacksonville Women's Lacrosse returns home to Rock Stadium on Thursday to battle the Harvard Crimson in what will serve as the program's Phin Cup/Student Game.
Both teams enter the game following a neutral site loss, with Harvard losing to Monmouth by a score of 12-10 in Jacksonville at Rock Stadium, and the Dolphins dropping their match against Notre Dame in Charlotte by a score of 20-5.
WHO
Harvard enters the match with an early season record of 3-2, with their most notable victory coming against #24 University of Pennsylvania (PENN) on March 5, by a score of 9-8.
In their last game out on Monday night, Harvard battled Monmouth to a close 12-10 loss at Rock Stadium in their first and only neutral site game of the season. Grace Hulslander was excellent in the game for the Crimson, recording a stat line of two goals, one ground ball, three caused turnovers, and four draw controls.
This will be the first time ever in program history that Jacksonville will face off against Harvard. In the Dolphins' two previous matchups against Ivy League opponents, they are 0-2.
WHERE AND WHEN
The match is scheduled for a 1:00 pm opening draw from Rock Stadium.
PHIN CUP/STUDENT GAME
Jacksonville Women's Lacrosse invites all JU student athletes and coaches to the game where they will be provided with on field seating.
With the Phin Cup ending on March 20
th the game vs Harvard will be one of the final opportunities for team's to score points and move up the rankings.
