Women's Basketball Announces Signing Benie Lundu

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University women's basketball has announced the signing of 6'6" center, Benie Lundu out of Kinshasa, Congo.

Lundu is transferring from Coastal Carolina after her freshman year in 2021-22. She brings immense size and tenacity that will make a significant impact on the Dolphins' rebounding and defensive areas.

Prior to her one season with the Chanticleers, she played at Greenforest High School in Decatur, Georgia where she averaged 5.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game in seventeen games.

The Dolphins' coaching staff believes that her best basketball is ahead of her. "Players of her size and defensive presence are extremely hard to come by. Her work ethic is never in question and Dolphins fans are going to love her."
