Dolphins Finish Fall Season at Mercer Invitational

FORSYTH, Ga. – Jacksonville University women's golf finished in 13th on Tuesday, concluding the Mercer Invitational and their fall season.

Casey Powell completed her second round on Tuesday, finishing with a 76. She had a choppy front nine, but improved on her back nine, logging three birdies and four pars. Powell recorded a 77 in the third round.

Ivete Rodrigues recorded a par on the ninth hole to conclude her second round from yesterday, finishing with a score of 77 at the par-72, 6040 yards River Forest Course. She started off her third round with a sharp birdie on the par-5 10th hole. From there the Portugal native recorded nine pars and another birdie in her third round.

Gemma Burgess had a great start to her third round, birdieing the par-4 12th hole. She recorded nine pars through the rest of her round, as well as another birdie on the par-3 4th hole.

Issy Hopkins had a steady third round, recording twelve pars and a birdie on the par-4 2nd hole and Maria Eir Goujonsdottir added five pars and a birdie to conclude her third round.

The Dolphins will enjoy the winter break, returning to start their spring season on February 12, when they host the Sea Best Intercollegiate at San Jose Country Club here in Jacksonville.
