CLEMSON, S.C.- Jacksonville University women's softball team traveled to Clemson to compete in the Clemson Classic.
The Dolphins (11-10) split 1-1 with Bryant and UNCG Friday afternoon.
Game 1
Both programs started off slow until the top of the fourth inning. Allison Bratek and Madison Kennedy walked. Kailey Harrigan singled through the left side allowing Kennedy to advance to second and Bratek to score. Victoria Rodebaugh singled, she advanced to third on an error by center field. Harrigan and Kennedy returned home. Hallie Kern filed out to right field to send Rodebaugh to score.
In the bottom of the fourth inning the Dolphins gave up two runs but still managed to win the game 4-2.
Game Two
The Dolphins were held scoreless throughout seven innings. Jacksonville's best chance to plate came in the bottom of the second when Harrigan advanced to third base but the Dolphins left two runners on base.
ON DECK
The Dolphins take on day two of the Clemson Classic matching up with Bryant and Clemson at 10:00am and 3:00pm.
