TAMPA, FLA- Jacksonville University traveled to South Florida to take on the Bulls for a doubleheader Wednesday night.
The Dolphins (13-12) split 1-1 to the Bulls with a score of 1-9 and 3-2.
Game 1
In the first inning, Madison Reynolds homered to left field. The Bulls responded immediately in the bottom half of the first, scoring three runs. South Florida scored consistently early in the game, jumping to a 4-1 lead after three innings.
The Dolphins could not get the offense going, and the Bulls continued to score five more runs to end the game.
Game 2
The Bulls led with two runs in the fourth inning. Jacksonville remained scoreless until the sixth inning. Reynolds reached first base by a hit by pitch. Madison Bratek singled to the pitcher and Reynolds advanced to second. Allison Bratek singled up the middle; M. Bratek advanced to third and Reynolds scored. Kaliey Harrigan reached on an error by the shortstop, advanced to second on the throw; the Bratek sisters scored.
ON DECK
The Dolphins stay in Florida and take on FGCU in a doubleheader in Fort Myers Saturday evening.
