JACKSONVILLE, FLA- Jacksonville University softball defeated Lipscomb University Sunday afternoon for the series finale. The Dolphins swept the Bisons in a 3-0 series.  

The Dolphins (17-14) beat the Bisons (13-15) with a score of 6-2.  

Madison Bratek started the Dolphins being walked which led to another for Madison Reynolds.  Kari Holzrichter then singled to center field allowing Reynolds to advance to second and M. Bratek to advance to third. Kari Harrigan reached on a fielder's choice and advanced to second on an error by the shortstop. Holzrichter then advanced to third and Reynolds and M. Bratek scored. In the bottom of the second inning, Madison Kennedy homered one for the Dolphins. Joely Leguziamon followed with a single then stole second. Next, M. Bratek grounded one out to the third baseman, sending Leguizamon to third. Reynolds singled to left field to allow Leguizamon to score, giving the Dolphins a 4-0 lead to end the inning.  

Jacksonville kept the momentum for the next five innings, the Dolphins scored three more runs. In the top of the fourth inning, the Dolphins gave up two runs but still managed to keep the lead for the 7-2 victory.  

ON DECK  

Jacksonville will take on Central Arkansas in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at 1:00PM and 3:30PM.
