HOW IT HAPPENED
Utah (5-4, 4-0 ASUN) opened the game with a goal at the 12:53 mark, only to be answered by a Bryce Wojnovich goal 50 seconds later. The Utes went on to score 11 of the next 12 goals in the game to give themselves a healthy cushion late in the second quarter.

The Dolphins (8-2, 3-1 ASUN) responded with three of the last four goals in the first half and continued with a 3-0 third quarter to claw their way back into the game, though Utah still led 13-8.

Jacksonville's offense began to open up more in the fourth quarter, but the Utes were able to respond almost every time. Ibrahim Pio scored the Dolphins first goal in the fourth to make the game 14-9, and Jared Andreala of Utah scored 40 seconds later to re-extend the Utes lead. Jacob Greiner netted a pair at 13:24 and 12:00, respectively, but Utah again responded with two of their own.

JU was able to get the deficit down to three thanks to a late goal by Jack Taylor, but the Dolphins ultimately ran out of time with their comeback attempt.

"We were outplayed by a better team tonight," said head coach John Galloway after the game. "With that said, we learned a lot about the fabric of these guys in this game. We had every excuse to quit, but we didn't. I'm proud of our guys, and excited to address our issues. As the calendar turns to April, we still have a lot to improve to reach our potential, and that is exciting."
