JACKSONVILLE, FLA – Jacksonville erupted for three runs in the fourth inning and went on to beat Kennesaw State in game one Friday night.
Kari Holzrichter doubled in Allison Bratek for JU's first run. Kailey Harrigan then doubled, advancing Holzrichter to third. Later in the inning, Joely Leguizamon doubled, scoring Harrigan and Holzrichter giving the Dolphins the lead that would not relinquish.
JU (19-21, 5-8) added two insurance runs at the bottom of the sixth when Tatianna Davis doubled scoring Madison Bratek and Rodebaugh.
Graduate Student Emma Whitfield won her tenth game of the year giving up just three hits and one earned run.
