TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Jacksonville women's cross country team wrapped up an event in Tallahassee at the FSU XC Invitational against some of the fastest runners in the south east.
The Invitational featured schools from all across the south east, including LSU, Florida, Florida International and of course, Florida State. The event featured nearly 700 runners, with 341 competing on the women's side.

Mya Bodrato was the Dolphins best finisher for the second consecutive event, finishing 62
nd in a field of nearly 350. Her 18.56.3 5K time was 12 seconds faster than her previous 5K time earlier this month.
Jordan Dix and
Madeline Weiler followed suite as the second and third best finishers for the Dolphins, both boasting faster times than their last time out wit ha 20:00.6 and 20:06.0 time, respectively.
Reilly Smith followed up her Dolphin teammates with a 20:12.3 time, another JU runner who finished faster than her previous time. Other runners that competed for JU include

"I think we had a good day," said head cross country coach Jordan Garmon. "There was a lot of improvement but maybe not as much as some people expected. The freshman did really well, we just have a lot of work to do on pacing. I am confident that the conference course will play to our strengths. Therefore, we look forward to four more weeks of training for our most important race."
The Dolphins return to the course on October 13
th for what is their final event before the Conference Championships. They'll be in Lakeland, Florida for the SSC Preview Meet, hosted by Florida Southern.
