Track and Field Opens Indoor Season at Jimmy Carnes Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville University women's track and field team will open its indoor season at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational in Gainesville, Florida on Friday, January 12. The meet will begin at 9:00 a.m.

The Dolphins will line up with several teams at the opener including; Florida State, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, South Florida, and Central Florida. 

Sophomores Julia Sue-Kam-Ling and Joy Whittington, freshman Elisa Peon, and All-American senior Kristi Snyman will compete in the 200m Dash.  

Eight Dolphins will compete in the 400m Dash including Annah Priyadi, Emily Haney, Eryn Field, Jailin Moss-Herbert, Josephine Leonard, Isabella Albright, Lexi Schwartz and Reilly Smith. 

11 Dolphins will run the mile: Madeline Weiler, Jordan Dix, Isabella Albright, Eryn Field, Josephine Leonard, Annah Priyadi, Lexi Schwartz, Reilly Smith, Emily Haney, Emma DeRosa, and Jailin Moss-Herbert

Whittington will run in the 60m Hurdles while Snyman will represent the Green and White in the High Jump. 

Julia Sue-Kam-Ling, Elisa Peon, and Ma'kala Davis will compete in the long jump. Davis will also stand-alone, competing for triple jump. 

Graduate student Alyssia Richard and Jacksonville native Alana Lecointe will battle in Shot Put. Lecointe will also compete in Weight Throw.
