JACKSONVILLE, -- Jacksonville fell to Austin Peay 4-1 Sunday (Oct. 6) at home at Southern Oak Stadium.
With the loss, Jacksonville dropped to 2-8-2 overall and 1-4-1 in ASUN play.
How it Happened
Jacksonville started the game off strong when Manuela Restrepo recorded her third goal of the season in the seventh minute to give the home team an early lead.
Austin Peay then netted the equalizer in the 24th minute. From there, the Governors found the net three more times while the Dolphins were unable to answer.
Laura Di Mascio led JU in shots with five. As a team, JU outpaced Austin Peay with 14 total shots. Five of the Dolphin shots were on goal. In net, Pia Bozic made three saves, all of which came in the second half.Â
