Jacksonville, Fla. – The Jacksonville softball team landed 14 members of its program on the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete awards for the 2023-2024 academic year. This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and academic excellence of the student-athletes both on the field and in the classroom.
The Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete award is presented to student-athletes who achieve a 3.5 or better GPA on a 4.0 scale. This award underscores the commitment to academic success that Jacksonville University values as a critical component of its athletic programs.
The honors come on the heels of the Jacksonville athletics department having its best-ever grade-point average in a calendar year, a 3.48 GPA. Nine programs finished with an average GPA of 3.50 or higher, and 15 maintained at least a 3.30. Additionally 82% of the JU student-athletes finished with at least a 3.0.
Jacksonville softball as a team finished the 2024-25 academic year with an impressive 3.50 GPA.
