JU Athletics Sets New Record in Dolphin Dash 2025 Fundraiser

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville University athletic department set a new Dolphin Dash record for this year's 2025 campaign.  With 2,843 donors contributing close to 1.2 million dollars, every dollar raised directly enhances the student-athlete experience. This amount raised eclipsed last year's total of $891,677.00, setting new heights for the department and our student-athletes.

Senior Vice President and Athletic Director Alex Ricker-Gilbert believes this week is vital for JU's ability to be competitive on the national landscape, saying, "Dolphin Dash is always an important week for our University. It has become a cultural mainstay that our supporters have led the charge on. Their commitment is tremendous, and it allows us to better the experience for our student-athletes. In an era when college athletics is more competitive than it's ever been, Dolphin Dash has helped us compete in the ASUN and on the national level."

Men's Lacrosse, Men's Basketball, and Baseball led the way overall, with each raising over $120,000 for their respective programs. Men's Lacrosse claimed the top spot for most dollars raised, while Women's Golf had the highest donor percentage.

Student-athletes also played an active role in this year's campaign. Joslyn Prosek '26, a junior and member of JU's women's soccer team, shared how valuable the campaign is to student-athletes.

"Dolphin Dash means a lot to us as students. Money raised directly goes toward elevating our experience as soccer players. With the funding we raised last year from Dolphin Dash, we were able to get new goals for the season and help enhance Southern Oak Stadium. This greatly supports our future here as athletes and as students."

This year's campaign has set a new standard for future giving initiatives and helps ensure that JU's legacy of excellence will continue for years to come.
