JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --The Jacksonville Dolphins took a 3-1 lead in the second inning and never surrendered the advantage on the way to a 3-2 victory against the UCF Knights on Tuesday.
Junior Aaron Zenus (1-2) got the win for Jacksonville (13-11), pitching four innings and allowing one run on two hits, with no walks and two strikeouts. Sophomore Garrett Corbett followed with one shutout inning, not allowing a hit, walking none, and striking out two. Kyle Powers, Josh Fernald, Anthony Cordero, and Nick Anello each contributed one inning of relief, allowing no earned runs and striking out a combined four batters. The pitching staff's strong performance was key in securing a huge victory over in-state foe UCF.
