Battle, Craig earn All-ASUN Honors

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- The Atlantic Sun Conference announced its postseason awards, and two Jacksonville Dolphins were among those recognized on the all-conference teams. Senior guard Edyn Battle was named to the All-ASUN First Team and sophomore forward Saniyah Craig earned third-team All-ASUN honors.

Battle has been named First Team All-ASUN in each of her seasons with JU. She led the ASUN in scoring this season, averaging 20.1 points per game. She scored at least 20 points in a game 14 times, more than anyone else in the ASUN. Battle also moved up to 8th on the Dolphins all-time scoring list.

In addition to her scoring prowess, Battle averaged 3.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

Craig made Jacksonville history, dominating the paint for the Dolphins. She set the school's single-season rebounding record, grabbing 326 rebounds (11.6 RPG). She led the ASUN in rebounding and was the only player in the league to average a double-double.

Craig was not only the best rebounder in the conference, she was one of the best rebounders in the country. As of March 5th, she's fifth in the country in rebounds per game and second nationally in offensive rebounds per game.

She set a new school record for single-game rebounds (23) and set new career highs for scoring, including a season-high 27 points against Eastern Kentucky.

Battle and Craig will look to lead the Dolphins to a run in the ASUN Conference Tournament. Jacksonville will face the Bellarmine Knights Friday at 7:30 PM in the opening round of the tournament.
