SALT LAKE CITY — The Jacksonville University men's lacrosse team fell short in a 17-14 loss to Utah on the road. A third quarter run for Utah moved the lead to six, but a fourth quarter rally for JU wasn't enough.

In the second half, Utah scored three straight to make it a 9-4 game.
Jackson Intrieri ended the run and both sides traded goals until the Utes found two straight late in the third to make it 13-7.
Jacksonville scored four straight late in the fourth, clawing back to make it a one-goal game at 15-14. Taylor scored two in the run, with freshmen
Michael Meredith and
Daylin John-Hill making impacts to put Jacksonville within striking distance.
Utah closed it out with a pair of goals to finish up with a 17-14 final score.
