JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – In the final edition of this year's River City Rumble series, the Jacksonville Dolphins fell at UNF, 4-1.
The Dolphins (20-22, 7-11) were held to just three hits in the Saturday finale contest after a two-hit night on Friday. The most impactful hit of the night came off the bat of
Alayna Gaddy who cranked a solo home run to left field to break up the shutout in the seventh.
Jazz Jones collected her third hit in the series to give JU its lone knock through six innings. Jones recorded a hit in all three games.
Pitching from the circle,
Skylar Waggoner,
Reese Wells and
Jordan White all saw time. Waggoner and Wells fanned one while White struck out three.
In the sixth,
Haley Fox got the 'Phins back on track with a double down the right field line.
Jacksonville will play its final home regular season games of the season this coming weekend against Stetson University. The first game between the Dolphins and the Hatters starts Saturday, April 26 at 2 p.m.
