PENNSAUKEN, N.J. --- The Jacksonville men's rowing program is set to compete in its final event of the season at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships. The Dolphins are set to race on Friday and Saturday.
Jacksonville will race their First Varsity 4+ crew at nationals. The lineup for the week features: junior coxswain Hannah Ratigan; in the bow seat, senior Nathan Fletcher; in the two seat, junior Ole Gruenert; in the three seat, junior Vukasin Resanovic; and in the stroke seat, junior Chase Ricci.
"After weeks of intense and competitive seat racing, we have determined the crew that will represent Jacksonville University at the National Championship. I'm incredibly proud of the group that trained for this," JU head coach Preston Weinard said.
Jacksonville will open the day in the first time trial at 11:40 a.m. Friday. With the way the random draw shook out, the Dolphins will be going out first in the time trial.
"It's a situation we have never been in, but we welcome the challenge," Weinard said.
The top 18 finishers will move on to an A/B/C Semifinal, all others will compete in the D/E/F semis. The semifinals start at 3:30 p.m. In Semis A/B/C, 1st and 2nd advance to the Grand Final, 3rd and 4th to the Petite Final, 5th and 6th to the C-final. In Semis D/E/F, 1st and 2nd advance to the D-final, 3rd and 4th to the E-final, remainder to F-Level final.
Finals start at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Grand Final set for 11:20 a.m.

Head Coach Preston Weinard
"Every session was competitive to raise the standard and everyone pushed each other to find the fastest crew. That is elite collegiate rowing. Training with that much purpose and intent, all to find the fastest crew; even if it may not be you who makes the crew.Â
The 4+ events at the IRA are often the least talked about but can hold some great stories and competition. This year is no joke. 39 entries could be a record! Plus, due to random draw, JU gets to be Bow #1 and go down the time trial chute first!
The crew is ready to execute and see how JU's best 4+ stacks up against the best in the country. God Bless The Work!"
