HOW IT HAPPENED
Coming out of a lengthy weather delay, Queens struck first with a two-run homer in the bottom of the second. The Dolphins responded immediately in the top of the third, evening the score at 2–2. Blake DeLamielleure brought home the first run with a groundout, and Stevens followed with a bases-loaded walk to bring in the tying run.
The game remained tied at 2–2 until the fifth, when Jacksonville broke through again offensively. DeLamielleure singled to left, driving in a run and advancing to third on a fielding error. Stevens followed with a bunt single to bring in another, giving the Dolphins a 4–2 lead.
Jacksonville held Queens off the board in the bottom of the fifth, then broke the game open with a five-run sixth. The Dolphins loaded the bases early in the frame, and DeLamielleure delivered a two-run double down the left field line to start the scoring. Blake Edmonds and Sammy Mummau each brought in runs after being hit by pitches with the bases loaded, and Stevens later came home on a wild pitch, pushing the lead to 9–2.
Jacksonville kept Queens off the board again in the sixth, then broke the game wide open with an eight-run outburst in the seventh. The inning was highlighted by a two-run single from Masters, while DeLamielleure added an RBI after being hit by a pitch. Cade Hentz and Mummau each contributed RBI as well. A wild pitch and a throwing error helped extend the rally, and Trent Kelly capped the scoring with a bases-loaded walk to make it 17–2. That score held the rest of the way as the Dolphins cruised to a run-rule victory in seven innings.
