PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks have selected Collin Rothermel in the 16th round of the 2025 MLB Draft. Rothermel is the first Dolphin off the board from the 2025 team in this year's draft.

Rothermel made 15 starts on the mound, striking out 79 batters (5th in the ASUN) over 71.2 innings (top-10 in ASUN) while holding opponents to a .205 average (1st in ASUN). The senior held hitters to 4 hits or fewer in 10 of his 15 outings.

Rothermel is the 83rd JU player to be drafted to the MLB, and the first since Mason Adams and Tyler Vogel were taken in 2022.
