Under head coach
Ryan Moon, in his second season leading the Dolphins, the team's put up their most goals scored in a single game in conference play. The win was the largest margin of victory in conference play in recent memory, surpassing a 3-0 win over NJIT in 2015 and a 3-0 win over UNF in 2014.
"I think it was just a good all-around performance," Moon said. "We defended really well tonight. We dealt with everything thrown our way safely. Also, we had the composure to play defense. We got it done going forward too. It was really important, helpful to score goals early. That helped us take some pressure off and play free. Getting that third gave us that extra bit too to keep going."
Jacksonville returns to the friendly confines of Southern Oak Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 21 to face off against West Georgia at 1 p.m.
