JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville University men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw against Memphis on Sunday, Sept. 7, at Southern Oak Stadium.
The Dolphins' defense, led by goalkeeper Simen Havig, held strong throughout the match, stopping all four shots on goal from the Tigers. Havig finished with four saves, while Memphis goalkeeper Jakob Buhrkuhl recorded two saves.
The game was a back-and-forth defensive battle, with both teams registering seven shots in total. Jacksonville's Dante Wright led the Dolphins with two shots, both on goal. Other Dolphins with shots on the afternoon included Romain Spailier, Felix Kogler, Juan Pablo Gonzalez, Daniel Wilkins and Pierce Amalberti.
The physical contest saw a total of six yellow cards issued. With the result, the Dolphins' record moves to 2-2-1.
