JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Two weeks after opening the season with a 14-8 win over Campbell, the Jacksonville Dolphins return to the field at Rock Stadium for the second game of the season against the Rider Broncs.

Last Time Out
The Dolphins battled to start off against Campbell in the season opener, trailing 3-1 early in the game. Jacksonville got it going as the game went along, though, as senior attacker Olivia Johnson set a career high for points and senior draw specialist Abby Moran took control of the game at the draw.

Jacksonville won its fifth season opener in program history and first since 2022.

The Broncs started a new era for their women's lacrosse program this spring, tabbing Scranton head coach Paige Frye as the new leader for Rider lacrosse. Frye notched a win in her first game with the team, defeating Fairleigh Dickinson 12-8.

Rider has been led this season by a trio of productive scorers, with veteran attacker Kayleigh Colleary leading the team with nine points (4G, 5A). Sophomore defender Hannah Cozik has been a do-it-all force for the Broncs, leading the team in goals scored, ground balls and caused turnovers.

One Key Stat
15.6 Goals Per Game In Last Five Home Games

The Dolphins heated up offensively last season, especially at Rock Stadium. Jacksonville cleared 15 goals three times in their final four games at home last season, including 21 goals against Queens.

JU has started slow offensively in past seasons, averaging 8.61 goals per game in February since 2023. This season, however, the hot offense from last year carried over as seen by the 14 goals in the season opener. 

If the Dolphins can keep their offensive firing on all cylinders, they'll have a great chance to defend Rock Beach once again.
