JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Jacksonville senior Abby Moran became the third player in program history to be named to the south All-Region team for the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA). Moran was named to the South Region Second Team.
Moran joins Sarah Elms and Molly Brock as the only IWLCA All-Region honorees in program history. They both made the South Region Second Team in 2023. Moran is also one of only three ASUN players to make an IWLCA All-Region team.
Moran rewrote the record book in her four years in Jacksonville. She holds the single-game, single-season and career record for draw controls in a Dolphins uniform. This past season, she won a school-record 193 draw controls. She ranks fifth nationally in draw controls per game with 10.16.Â
The Austin, Texas, native is no stranger to accolades. She's a two-time All-American from USA Lacrosse and a three-time All-ASUN honoree.
