JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University Athletics has made a leadership change in the women's golf program, the university announced on Wednesday.

"I'd like to thank Coach Kathryn Dougan for seven years of service to Jacksonville University and to our student-athletes. We wish her the very best in her next chapter", said Senior Vice President and Athletic Director Alex Ricker-Gilbert. 

Dougan has led the Jacksonville women's golf program since the 2019-20 season. The team's best finish in the ASUN Championships came in 2023 when Jacksonville placed fifth out of 13 participating teams. This past season, the Dolphins placed 11th out of 12 teams at the ASUN Championships in Dothan, Ala.

In her seven years leading the program, Jacksonville has had 21 student-athletes named WGCA All-American scholars.

Jacksonville women's golf has competed since 1985. A national search for the next head coach begins immediately.
