JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- A year full of racing, competing and growth for the Jacksonville men's rowing program will conclude this weekend at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championship Regatta.

The Dolphins will be sending their first Varsity Four out to Sacramento, California to compete on the national stage. A season ago, Jacksonville secured the best finish in program history, finishing ninth overall.

This year, JU will look to continue to build on that momentum and raise the standard for rowing at Jacksonville. 

The crew hitting the water of Lake Natoma features three seniors: Ole Gruenert, Archie Lockett and Chase Ricci. They're joined by standout freshman Henry Fowler alongside junior coxswain Logan Newton-Masucci.

The Dolphins will compete in their opening time trial at 11:30 AM local time Friday. The semi-finals will take place throughout Friday afternoon. The slate of Varsity Four finals runs through Saturday.
