JACKSONVILLE, Fla. ---
Lucas Fraser and
Aaron Toguri are among the 22 athletes who will represent Team Canada at the Pan-American Men's Lacrosse Championship this week in Kingston, Jamaica. The top five finishers in the tournament will qualify for the World Lacrosse Men's Championship in Tokyo next summer.
Canada will play four games before the medal games on the weekend. The tournament opens Monday against Mexico at 2 PM.
Fraser is a breakout star for the Dolphins entering his third season in Jacksonville. He's a veteran of the Canadian youth national teams, winning gold at the U20 World Championships last summer. He earned honorable mention All-American honors from Inside Lacrosse a season ago, turning in a 40 ground ball, 28 caused turnover season. Fraser is a dynamic player in transition, already holding the JU program record for points by a long pole with 10 (8G, 2A). He was named to the All-ASUN Second Team last season.
Toguri is one of the best defensemen in Jacksonville history. He is a two-time All-ASUN First Team selection and ranks second in program history with 76 caused turnovers. In addition to his plaudits with the Dolphins, Toguri has blossomed into one of the best young players in the indoor game. He was the Defensive Player of the Year in the Ontario Junior Lacrosse League in 2025 and recently won the Major Series Lacrosse Rookie of the Year award this summer.
