JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville University men's lacrosse game opposite Vermont has officially been canceled. The Dolphins had been slated to matchup with the visiting Catamounts on Saturday afternoon, but inclement weather altered the visiting squad's original travel plans and postponed the game. Despite extensive efforts from JU to arrange alternate accommodations, Vermont opted for cancelation.
Jacksonville was hoping for an opportunity earn its first victory of the season while hosting a program set to begin its own 2020 campaign. Instead, The Dolphin student-athletes and fans will need to wait another week for game two of the 2020 regular season, unfortunately, and even longer for the next home game.
The Dolphins will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 15 when they head north to visit Marquette. Face off is set for 1 p.m. From there JU will matchup with Robert Morris at the U.S. Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. before returning home to host Utah in the Moe's Lacrosse Classic. Face off for the Moe's Lacrosse Classic is set for 3 p.m.
