JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville University men's lacrosse program has announced its 2021 slate of games featuring five home contests, six on the road and a pair in neutral sites before the SoCON tournament at High Point beginning on May 6.
The 2021 campaign gets started in earnest on Feb. 10 at home opposite SoCON foe Bellarmine. The matchup will not count towards conference records and will instead be considered a non-conference matchup. That game will get started at Noon. It'll be the first time the Dolphins take the field since the 2020 season was cut short following a Mar. 10 date at Duke. The Dolphins were 3-3 at the time.
A trip to North Carolina will follow on Feb. 13 for a Noon date with the Tar Heels. This will be the first regular season matchup with North Carolina since Jacksonville's first game as a Division I program on Feb. 6, 2010 and the first time JU will play in Chapel Hill.
A neutral site visit to Memorial Stadium in Savannah, Ga. for a matchup with Mercer will take place on Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. followed by back-to-back road games at Navy (Feb. 28) and Utah (Mar. 6). Those games will get started at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. EST, respectively.
The Dolphins return home for the first time in nearly five weeks for a date with Duke on Mar. 14. at 1 p.m. before a quick trip to Mercer on Mar. 21 followed by the SoCON home opener on Mar. 27 vs. VMI at Noon. Jacksonville rounds out the non-conference slate on Apr. 3 with a visit to Rock Hill, S.C. to matchup with Robert Morris. That game will take place at 3 p.m. at Manchester Meadows.
On Apr. 10, Jacksonville welcomes Air Force to D.B. Milne field followed by a trip to Richmond on Apr. 17. The following week will be a home date with Bellarmine (Apr. 24). That game will serve as senior day and get started at 12 p.m. The regular season comes to a close on Saturday, May 1 at High Point at Noon. The SoCON tournament will follow, also at High Point.
