PARADISE ISLAND, The Bahamas – Alexandre Vandermoten shot a second-straight 2-under 70 to secure a T11 finish and Jacksonville University men's golf come home seventh in the White Sands Invitational.

The Dolphins wrapped the fall season on a warm and breezy day at the Ocean Club Golf Course after battling some weather in round two.

Vandermoten, after a bogey free day on Saturday, had to recover from an early blemish on Sunday. He double bogeyed his third hole of the day, but he bounced back well, sinking birdies on his second, sixth, 11th and 12th holes of the day, while parring all of the rest in round three.

Grant Haefner finished T21 after a final round 1-under 71. He parred his first five holes and sank birdies on two of his next three. His only over-par hole was his 13th, a bogey, but he closed with five more pars.

Joseph Sullivan had his best round of the week, shooting a 1-under 71 to finish T29. He was a bit up and down through the round, making five bogeys, but neutralizing them and more with his team-best six birdies on the day, including a dominant stretch of four in a row on his ninth through 12th holes.

Josef Hacker was consistent, making two birdies and 14 pars for his best round of the week, an even-par 72. Filip Raza made three birdies and eight pars in his final round.

The Dolphins finished the week 24-under on Par-5s, and no team sank more pars, 179 collectively.

Sullivan shot a team-best 6-under on the Par-5s, and his teammates Vandermoten and Hacker, 5-under, and Haefner, 2-under, also excelled on the long ones.

Haefner led the field with 43 total pars, with Vandermoten and Hacker making 39 of their own. Raza's 12 birdies led the team.

JU returns to play in the spring of 2022.
