LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Jacksonville University men's basketball team (9-10, 3-6 ASUN) had a hard time finding a groove in its first-ever tilt with Bellarmine (10-5, 7-2) on Friday night, but managed to produce a late run that made things interesting in a loss, 71-56.
Trey Sides paced the scoring effort for the first time in his career. He scored 12 on 4-6 from long range to go with three rebounds.
Cameron Boozer led the team in rebounding for the first in his young career. He pulled down seven boards and blocked two shots to go with four points.

Jacksonville jumped ahead 5-0 quickly and prompted an early timeout from Bellarmine. The Knights stormed out of that timeout with a 14-0 run to put Jacksonville in a hole.
Loseni Kamara broke up the run with a jumper from the elbow with 13:49 left in the half. Davis scored to make it 28-22, BU, with 5:21 to go in the half. Bellarmine locked down and closed the half on an 10-0 run to take a 38-22 lead into the break.
