Men's Golf Completes Day One of Coral Creek Club Invitational

PLACIDA, Fla. – Jacksonville University men's golf concluded the first day of the Coral Creek Club Invitational in a tie for 14th.
 
The Dolphins were paced by Alexandre Vandermoten, who is T30 with one round to play at Coral Creek Club.
 
Vandermoten started his day on a steady note, collecting 14 pars in his first round of action, while also sinking one birdie. He added 14 more pars and two more birdies in the second round.
 
Filip Raza had a stretch in the first round where he was over-par just one time in 13 straight holes, adding a birdie in that run. He had a team-best four birdies in the second round.
 
Arkesh Bhatia had a team-best three birdies in the first round. He added three more with 12 pars in the second round and is tied with his teammate Raza for 45th.
 
Jo Hacker had 11 pars and a pair of birdies in his first 18 and tacked on three more red numbers in the second round.
 
Jack Neill sank a birdie to go with eight pars in the first round and ended his second round with pars on six of his last seven.
 
The Dolphins were tied for second-best on the day on Par-3s, with Vandermoten shooting 1-under on such holes. Raza also found success on the long Par-5s, scoring 2-under for the day, with Raza and Vandermoten also shooting 1-under.
 
Round three is scheduled for an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday morning.
