Spartanburg, S.C. - Jacksonville Men's Lacrosse goalkeeper Luke Millican has been named Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. 

A graduate student from Southlake, Texas, Millican had 17 saves Saturday on the road against Johns Hopkins. The North Carolina transfer faced 45 shots on the day, recording a career-high .607 save percentage. Saturday was Millican's first start in goal since Feb. 10, 2018 against Furman. 

The Dolphins return to action this Sunday, as Jacksonville travels to Durham, N.C. to face the number two ranked team in the nation, the Duke Blue Devils. Opening faceoff Sunday is set for 1 PM and the contest can be streamed live on ACC Network Extra.
