ATLANTA, Ga. - Jacksonville's Jalisa Dunlap was named to the ASUN All-Freshmen Team for the 2021-22 season, as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.  

Dunlap is a true freshman coming out of Stockbridge, Georgia, spending her last basketball season with Eagles Landing Christian Academy. In her first collegiate year, Dunlap played in all 27 of the Dolphins' games, starting in 20 of them and recording an average stat line of 6.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists and steals, and 22.0 minutes per game. She would additionally shoot a team-high 78% from the free-throw line (min. 15 games). 

Dunlap's presence brings brightness to the future of the Dolphins and Coach Haney explained what sets her apart, "Jalisa is a warrior! She puts her hard hat on daily and does what she has to do to get better." Coach Haney and staff believe they got a steal when recruiting Dunlap and are excited to see her future in Jacksonville.  

Dunlap will be playing in her first post-season game as the Dolphins take on Central Arkansas in round one of the ASUN tournament tonight, at 7PM in Swisher Gymnasium.
