TAMPA, Fla. – After a tough battle with rain last weekend, track and field overcame a battle with strong winds this weekend at the South Florida Invitational.
The Dolphins took part in three events; the 100 Dash, the 400 Dash, and 800 Run, with eight of their team members participating. Leading JU's day was a clean sweep of the top three in the 800 run. Emma Sullivan placed first with a time of 2:08.84, followed shortly behind by Sadie Morris (2:11.22) and Anna Greentree (2:13.43).
Claiming another first place finish was Precious Ogba in the 400 Dash, with a time of 56.04. JU would add another two in the top-ten of the 400 as Pashen Williams (56.37) and Sadae Davidson (56.78) would place fourth and eighth, respectively.
Lastly, but certainly not least, Alexis Williams took second place in the 100 Dash, running in 11.71 seconds. Following behind her was Cassie Thompson, placing twelfth with a time of 12.02 seconds.
