ATLANTA, GA. – Jacksonville Men's Soccer freshman Christian Sekanina has been named the ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The announcement comes following a week in which Sekanina went 1-1 in his two starts, while claiming five total saves and also a clean sheet in JU's match against Georgia Southern.

This award marks the true freshman's first ever conference honor, and just second ASUN weekly award for the team this season.

The 'Phins, with Sekanina at the back, will now face Presbyterian today at 2 pm on the field of Southern Oak Stadium. They will then gear up for one of the top teams in the country this upcoming Tuesday when they travel to North Carolina to take on Wake Forest at 7 pm.
