Skorve Named ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year; Six Dolphins Earn All-Academic Honors

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville University men's soccer senior Iver Skorve has been named the ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year, headlining six Dolphins selected to the conference's All-Academic Team.

Skorve is joined by Tobias Holtan, Simen Havig, Simon Libert, Nahne Paulsen and Romain Spailier. Jacksonville's six selections match the program record established last season.

Skorve Earns Conference's Top Academic Honor

A four-year Dolphin and team captain, Skorve has combined sustained academic achievement with leadership on the field throughout his Jacksonville career.

The Sogndal, Norway, native holds a 3.92 GPA while pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Technology. He has earned President's List recognition in five semesters and receives his second consecutive ASUN All-Academic selection.

Skorve's Scholar-Athlete of the Year award adds to a career that includes ASUN All-Freshman recognition in 2023 and Preseason All-ASUN honors in 2026. His development from a freshman midfield contributor into a veteran defender helped Jacksonville reach the 2025 ASUN Championship semifinals, where he scored the equalizer against Bellarmine.

As a senior, Skorve appeared in 15 matches with 14 starts, recording two assists across 979 minutes. He assisted Matias Tobon's goal in a draw at Queens and Jake Waters' equalizer in Jacksonville's comeback victory over Mercer.

Five More Dolphins Recognized

Holtan joins Skorve as a four-year member of the program earning academic recognition. He holds a 3.52 GPA while pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Technology. The senior appeared in five matches and made two starts during his final season.

Havig earned All-Academic recognition with a 3.54 GPA while pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in FinTech, complementing a season in which he twice received ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week honors. He finished with 45 saves, three shutouts and a 1.31 goals-against average across 15 starts. His six-save shutout at Memphis helped secure Jacksonville's first victory over the Tigers.

Libert maintained a perfect 4.00 GPA in Jacksonville's Master of Science in Organizational Leadership program during his second year with the Dolphins. On the field, he appeared in 15 matches, making 11 starts and logging 967 minutes.

Paulsen also posted a 4.00 GPA while pursuing his Master of Science in Organizational Leadership in his second year at JU. He contributed a goal and an assist across 14 appearances and 11 starts. His assist supplied the lone goal in Jacksonville's victory over Bellarmine, and he scored in the Dolphins' comeback win against Mercer.

Spailier rounded out the group with a 4.00 GPA in the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership program, also in his second year at Jacksonville. He tied for the team lead with four goals, adding an assist for nine points while starting 15 of 16 matches. His goal just 33 seconds into the Memphis match proved to be the winner in Jacksonville's 1-0 road victory.
