Dolphins First Meet of the Year at Jimmy Carnes Invitational

Gainesville,Fla. – Jacksonville University women's track and field program starts the year off right traveling to Gainesville for the Jimmy Carnes Invitational. 

Cassie Thompson placed third (7.54) in the 60m dash prelim, alongside her was teammate Alexis Williams who placed fourth (7.55) in the 60m prelim. 

In the women's 200m dash Joanna Rogers finished in the top 10 placing 7th (25.46) 

According to Head Coach Diego Vela, "This group of dolphins have a great potential. We will go back to work and keep getting better. Today's competition was a learning opportunity for all of us." 

Next up for the Dolphins is the RADD Sports Invitational on January 19 in Gainesville, Fl.
